CREATIVE WRITING ANTHOLOGY

Edited by Gabriel Packard. An in-house, boutique publication for Hunter College, produced to celebrate the many distinguished writers who have visited or taught there over the years.

This anthology features favorite short extracts of past work selected by Jonathan Franzen, Michael Cunningham, Nathan Englander, Junot Diaz, Sharon Olds, Robert Pinsky, Gary Shteyngart, Jean Valentine, Salman Rushdie and others.

Since its inception in 1999, the Hunter College MFA Program has attracted great writers and poets – including recipients of the Nobel Prize, Pulitzer Prize, National Book Award and Booker Prize – to teach and mentor its students and to give public readings as part of the program’s Distinguished Writers Series.

Thirty-six of these writers and poets have personally contributed work, from among their previously published best, for inclusion in this new anthology.

With a Little Help From Our Friends is a boutique publication,
