ANTHOLOGY
A Hunter MFA Antholog
An anthology of creative writing, featuring work by Jonathan Franzen, Michael Cunningham, Nathan Englander, Junot Diaz, Sharon Olds, Robert Pinsky, Gary Shteyngart, Jean Valentine, Salman Rushdie and others.
Since its inception in 1999, the Hunter College MFA Program has attracted great writers and poets – including recipients of the Nobel Prize, Pulitzer Prize, National Book Award and Booker Prize – to teach and mentor its students and to give public readings as part of the program’s Distinguished Writers Series.
Thirty-six of these writers and poets have personally contributed work, from among their previously published best, for inclusion in this new anthology.
With a Little Help From Our Friends is a boutique publication, produced to celebrate the many distinguished writers who have visited or taught at the Hunter MFA Program, over the years. It features a foreword by Peter Carey (two-time winner of the Booker Prize) and Colum McCann (winner of the National Book Award).
